Since the first film conjured up $102.5 million off the back of a small budget, here, somewhat naturally, comes the sequel to 2014's Ouija. Though Origin Of Evil more accurately described as a sort-of prequel. Take a look at the first trailer.

Mike Flanagan, who had success with Oculus and Before I Wake, takes over the directorial reins, co-writing the script with occasional collaborator Jeff Howard. Origin Of Evil spins the clock back to 1965, to find Elizabeth Reaser as a widowed mother running a scam seance business with her two daughters. But when they add a new ouija board to their bag of tricks, they unwittingly invite something very real and very, very evil into their lives, channeled through youngest daughter Doris (Lulu Wilson).

Soon, aided by a man of faith (Henry Thomas), they're locked in a battle to send the spirit back to the other side. With Doug Jones helping out on the scare front, Ouija: Origin Of Evil will be lurking in our cinemas from October 21.
