How you relate to Oasis is often determined by your age when you first heard them. But if you weren't there for their '90s rise and equally spectacular fall, here comes the documentary Supersonic to chronicle that amazing story. Check out the trailer...

Supersonic, directed by Mat Whitecross and produced by Amy's Asif Kapadia, uses new interviews with Noel and Liam Gallagher and their mother plus some unseen archive footage to chart the birth of the group in the 1990s, their stunning rise to superstardom and the rifts and behaviour that would tear them apart. From the council estates of Manchester to selling out some of the biggest concert venues around the world in the space of three years, it's an amazing tale and looks to finally have gotten the treatment it deserves.

At a time when we usually hear about Oasis in relation to brothers and founder members Noel and Liam squabbling, it's useful to look back and see what started it all. The documentary will hit our screens on October 2 before arriving on home entertainment formats on October 31.
