The events surrounding the attack on the Boston Marathon bombing on 15 April 2013 still resonate, and more than one drama about it is on the way. The first to arrive will be the latest collaboration between Peter Berg and Mark Wahlberg. See the first teaser for Patriots Day below.

Blending fact with some streamlining of certain characters, the film finds Wahlberg as Police Sergeant Tommy Saunders, who is among the people looking for the bombers before they can strike again. Also involved in the search are FBI Special Agent Richard Deslauriers (Kevin Bacon), Police Commissioner Ed Davis (John Goodman) and Sergeant Jeffrey Pugliese (JK Simmons), with Tommy's wife, medical tech Carol Saunders (Michelle Monaghan), helping the victims. Behind the scenes, the score is provided by Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross in one of their rare joint efforts.

This is one that will have to be handled very sensitively, though it marks the next based-on-fact film for Berg and Wahlberg after Lone Survivor and Deepwater Horizon, which has just arrived in UK cinemas. Patriots Day will follow on 27 January.
