Drive director Nicolas Winding Refn hasn't put a movie out into the world since 2016's The Neon Demon, but he's been busy. The filmmaker has a 10-episode crime thriller series debuting on Amazon Prime Video this year called Too Old To Die Young, and a new teaser is online.
Miles Teller stars here as Martin, a police officer ensnared in a world of assassins as the story explores the criminal underbelly of Los Angeles. Here, killers go on existential journeys to become samurai... Yep, that's Refn. And the teaser features plenty of the director's trademark style, with pulsing visuals, Cliff Martinez' hypnotic music and plenty of violence.
The substance is harder to judge from this first proper look, but Refn co-wrote the series with Ed Brubaker and it's certainly got a good supporting cast including John Hawkes, Jena Malone, Christina Rodlo and William Baldwin
Too Old To Die Young premieres on Prime on 14 June.
