The latest live-action incarnation of Batman might be taking a beating from both Superman and the critics at the moment, but the hero of The Lego Batman Movie is here to save the day. Or at least cook up a nice Lobster Thermidor for dinner. Yes, the first spin-off from The Lego Movie has a teaser trailer online.

Will Arnett is back on vocal duties for the self-obsessed Caped Crusader, and we get a taster of what his life is like beyond the idea of darkness and no parents. Turns out the Batcave is a vast, echoing chamber outfitted with all the gadgets he might want and a ready supply of... red silk kimonos? You've got to hand it to this Bruce Wayne: he knows how to chill.

Don't expect to learn too much of the story here; it's really just a re-introduction to this take on the hero with a few brief shots of him in action (including one where he's part of the Justice League). But we do know his lone wolf status will eventually be challenged by Robin (Michael Cera) and Batgirl (Rosario Dawson).

With Ralph Fiennes as Alfred and Zach Galifianakis set to cackle things up as The Joker, The Lego Batman Movie will be out on February 10 next year. He's the hero we both need and deserve right now.
