This isn’t quite the first look at Seth MacFarlane’s new Western comedy A Million Ways To Die In The West, since a couple of stills (see them lower down the page) have already taken care of that. Still, the co-writer/director and star took to Twitter today to unleash eight new images for the film, putting up character posters for the leads and a teaser pic to boot.

A Million Ways To Die In The West finds MacFarlane as cowardly sheep farmer Albert who backs out of a gunfight because he’s understandably afraid of dying. But his girlfriend (Amanda Seyfried), thinks he’s a weak fool and ditches him for smooth-talking rival Foy (Neil Patrick Harris, in what looks to be an Old West version of How I Met Your Mother’s Barney). Desperate to get back into her affections, Albert seeks help from a mysterious newcomer (Charlize Theron), who teaches him how to shoot and stand up for himself. Slowly but surely, they grow closer, only for her outlaw husband (Liam Neeson) to show up, which forces Albert to put his newfound courage to the test. {A Million Ways To Die In The West stills}

Ribisi is Albert’s pal Edward, a shoe repairman whose fiancee is a working prostitute (Silverman) happy to have sex with everyone but him. He tries to help his friend get back on the dating scene.

With a script co-written by Ted’s Alec Sulkin and Wellesley Wild, A Million Ways To Die In The West arrives in UK cinemas on June 6.
