First Official Skyfall Pic Unveiled

After weeks of pap shots and an 'official' shot that turned out not to be official, after all, the first truly honest-guv official shot from the new James Bond film, Skyfall has been unveiled.

To take a peek, head over to** 007.com** for your first look at Daniel Craig's latest incarnation of the master spy. And if you had your cash on 'Bond looking mean and moody with a gun', then you've won. But it's a cool shot, that bodes well. And the gun appears to be a Bond signature - his Walther PPK - which bodes equally, if not more so, well.

Also, we're trying to figure out what Bond's doing here: has he broken into a hi-tech facility, with all sorts of flashing signs and monitors? Or is he out on the town at night? We know that Skyfall is going to take him to Shanghai, for example. Is this a shot of Bond's Chinese holiday?

Skyfall, in case you weren't aware, is the 23rd Bond film, and is currently shooting on locations around the world with Sam Mendes at the helm and Roger Deakins on DP duties, which might explain why this shot seems to be more colourful and atmospheric than anything from Quantum Of Solace.

Craig is returning for his third go-round as Bond, and is backed up by the likes of Ralph Fiennes, Albert Finney, Ben Whishaw, Berenice Marlohe, Naomie Harris and Judi Dench, whose M kick-starts the plot. Javier Bardem will be taking pot-shots at Bond as the villain, friendo.

And if this pic has whetted your appetite, fear not: you've only got to wait until October 26 in the UK to see Skyfall. Oh, and come back here at 9am for the pic in all its full, downloadable glory.
