First Look At Chris Pratt In Jurassic World

After some hiccups in development, a few extra script drafts and a long negotiating session with a pesky Plesiosaur’s agent, Jurassic World is finally just one year away. To mark its approach, we now have some new images from the film, as provided to the AV Club.

With **Safety Not Guaranteed **director Colin Trevorrow marshalling both the humans and the dinosaurs, we know that Jurassic World is set years after Steven Spielberg’s original film, at a time when Jurassic Park is actually a functioning attraction on Isla Nublar. In fact, it does its job so well that dinosaurs are almost commonplace.

Chris Pratt, still in muscly Guardians Of The Galaxy mode, plays a scientist doing behavioural research on the raptors (“Let’s see what happens when we take away the puppy…”) when everything, in true Jurassic fashion, goes nuts again. Bryce Dallas Howard, meanwhile, will be a corporate type involved in the Park, one who might just have to team up with Pratt when toothy menaces start stalking the place. Also featured are Ty Simpkins and Nick Robinson, who also factor into the plot in a way that hasn’t yet been made clear. Perhaps they're lunch.

Omar Sy, Vincent D'Onofrio, Irrfan Khan, Jake Johnson, Judy Greer, B.D. Wong, Katie McGrath and Lauren Lapkus also show up in the film, which has yet to show off any of its dino-stars. They, including a new, genetically tinkered terrible lizard, will be rampaging on our screens next June 12. Mark your diaries and hold on to your butts.
