Teenagers today, eh? If they’re not texting on their Androids or using the Snapchat to leak nude cat photos, they’re working in Canadian convenience stores and battling ancient evil. At least they are in Kevin Smith’s Yoga Hosers, which has just released its first official image via The Hollywood Reporter.

The teens in question here are 15 year-old yoga fanatics Colleen Collette (Lily-Rose Depp) and Colleen McKenzie (Harley Quinn Smith) who work after school in Canadian convenience store Eh-2-Zed. They’re called upon to go all Buffy when an ancient evil rises from beneath the ground in Manitoba and threatens their invites to a big party thrown by one of their schoolmates. The ladies must join forces with hunter Guy Lapointe (Johnny Depp) to fight for their lives and channel everything they’ve learned in their yoga lessons.

All three characters are introduced in Smith’s most recent film, horror comedy Tusk, while the rest of that film’s cast – Justin Long, Michael Parks, Haley Joel Osment, Genesis Rodriguez and Harley Morenstein – are back for **Hosers **alongside a batch of new recruits and veterans of Smith’s previous work including Tony Hale, Natasha Lyonne, Austin Butler, Adam Brody, Tyler Posey and the director's old Quick Stop/current podcasting stalwart Jason Mewes.

The girls are the focus this time, drawing on their real-life friendship to play the snarktastic teens. "Acting is a job of making choices, and Harley and Lily were making their own character and delivery choices from day one on the flick," Smith tells The Hollywood Reporter. "At one point, I pulled them both aside to ask, ‘you are making excellent choices without me saying anything. What adult is telling you to do these things behind my back?’ The girls said they'd simply learned to act from watching movies and TV shows their whole lives. But in their case, acting and goofing around is in their blood. And it was thrilling to watch them both take their first steps in what's bound to be a lifelong passion for performance."

Making up part of Smith’s True North Trilogy, the film will be out next year. Tusk is due to hit here on December 5.
