USA Today has the first – THE FIRST – picture from Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows Part 1, aka the final big-screen outing for the boy wizard, and it’s… it’s… avuncular. Like a Uniqlo ad come to life, in fact.
As you all doubtless know, **The Deathly Hallows **sees Harry (Daniel Radcliffe), Ron (Rupert Grint) and Hermione (Emma Watson) go on the run to look for some whores on crutches horcruxes, which hold the key to the destruction of Harry’s nemesis, Lord Voldemort. Hence the need to go incognito, and the rather snazzy threads.

**The Deathly Hallows **– directed, as were the previous two movies, by David Yates – will be split into two parts, with the first instalment due in November and the second in the summer of 2011. By that time, we’ll be inundated with images bursting with witches, wizards, goblins, ghouls and all kinds of CG jiggery-pokery, so for the time being this stripped-down pic makes a nice change, as well as being a tantalising hint of things to come.
