The latest potential blockbuster starring The Rock is almost upon us, with Skyscraper aiming to keep up his current winning streak and hoping not to end up in the Baywatch column. The final trailer has jumped online...
This is less a full trailer for the film and more an extended scene of Dwayne Johnson doing some heroics. As for the movie's story, Skyscraper finds Central Intelligence director Rawson Marshall Thurber and his burly star channelling a mix of Die Hard and the classic Irwin Allen disaster movies. Johnson here is former FBI hostage rescue team leader and war veteran Will Sawyer. On assignment in his new gig as a security consultant, he's called in to check out a brand new building in China, touted as the tallest and safest in the world. Only one of those turns out to be true, as the place comes under fire-driven attack.
It's all a cover for a group of thieves to steal something valuable from the building, and with Sawyer framed for the flames, he'll have to also save his family, including wife Sarah (Neve Campbell), who are trapped.
Skyscraper will be out on 12 July.
