In development for a few years now, unusual revenge comedy O'Lucky Day has been through at least one previous director on its journey to screens. Now Filth filmmaker Jon S. Baird is taking the job.

Peter Dinklage has been spearheading the film since at least 2014, officially on as a producer and still locking in whether he'll take the lead role. You can see why he might, as the story finds a career con man posing as a leprechaun to get vengeance.

Bad Words' Andrew Dodge wrote the most recent draft of the script, which Paramount originally picked up, aiming for a Bad Santa tone. But the rights have since lapsed and now belong to Legendary. If the film does schedule a shoot, it'll have to wait for Dinklage to finish up work on the final season of Game Of Thrones.

In Baird's case, he last directed Laurel & Hardy biopic Stan And Ollie, which is scheduled to land on 1 January next year.
