Sunday night was the BAFTA Award ceremony and, as had been somewhat predicted, The Favourite was among the big winners, though Roma also went home with an armful of awards.

Yorgos Lanthimos' latest won for Make-Up & Hair, Costume Design (with Sandy Powell taking home the award against, well, herself, as she was also nominated for Mary Poppins Returns), Production Design, Original Screenplay, Supporting Actress for Rachel Weisz, Lead Actress (Olivia Colman) and Outstanding British Film.

Roma, meanwhile, scored Best Film, Director for Alfonso Cuaron, Film Not In The English Language, and Cinematography. With six nominations, Cuaron's four wins represented a record in BAFTA history.

Bohemian Rhapsody's Rami Malek won another Acting trophy, while Mahershala Ali added another win to his list for Green Book. Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse took the animated category, with Black Panther triumphant in visual effects. Talking of Wakanda, Shuri, AKA Letitia Wright, won the EE Rising Star Award, voted on by the cinema-going British public.
