Talking to Pitchfork at New York's All Tomorrow's Parties festival (where he's curating a day of music) [Jim Jarmusch has revealed sketchy details about what he hopes will be his follow-up movie ](http://I have a new film project that's really foremost for me that I hope to shoot early next year with Tilda Swinton and Michael Fassbender and Mia Wasikowska, who was Alice in Wonderland in Tim Burton's film. I don't have that quite financed yet, so I'm working on that.)to The Limits of Control.

Or rather, he at least confirmed that a new film is in the works. "I have a new film project that's really foremost for me," says the indie auteur behind Mystery Train, Dead Man and Ghost Dog. "I hope to shoot early next year with Tilda Swinton and Michael Fassbender and Mia Wasikowska, who was Alice in Wonderland in Tim Burton's film. I don't have that quite financed yet, so I'm working on that."

Swinton is clearly developing a satisfying relationship with Jarmusch: she's worked with him twice in recent years, in Broken Flowers and The Limits of Control. Fassbender and Wasikowska are new to the fold, but would both be strong presences for whatever the director has in mind. Hopefully it's a starry enough cast (in a Jarmusch sort of way) to bring that money together.

Jim also mentions putting together a "non-traditional" opera with Phil Klein, about electricity boffin Nikola Tesla (played by David Bowie in The Prestige - maybe that's their star right there...). And, excitingly, there's also talk about a raw-powered Stooges documentary: "It's something Iggy [Pop] asked me to do. There's a rule in my household that if Iggy is playing anywhere within 90 miles, we go. It's going to take a few years though. There's no rush on it.."
