If Catfish gave you the collywobbles, you might want to swerve Friend Request. Aside from boasting one of our favourite taglines of the year to date (‘Like. Comment. Kill’), the horror-thriller shows that being unfollowed on Facebook is a lot less bothersome than… well, check out the film's trailer to see for yourself.

College student Laura (Alycia Debnam-Carey) is the naive clicker on the receiving end of some unwanted attention from cyberspace. When she accepts a friend request from a strange woman called Marina (Liesl Ahlers) things turn Sam Raimi on her very quickly. Things get actively ‘terminal' for some of her other friends. In the sense that they die. Not in the computer sense.

If the trailer is anything to go by, this one will boast a combination of millennial chills and old-school body horror. Friend Request lands in the UK on April 22.
