In Fabric

With films such as Berberian Sound Studio and The Duke Of Burgundy, writer/director Peter Strickland has proved he has his own style and tone, influenced by 1970s horror and more. That's still a big part of his next movie, the Giallo-inspired In Fabric. Find the first trailer below.

Strickland's latest finds a lonely woman named Shiela (Marianne Jean-Baptiste), recently separated from her husband, visiting a bewitching London department store in search of a dress that will transform her life. She’s fitted with a perfectly flattering, artery-red gown—which, in time, will come to unleash a malevolent curse and unstoppable evil, threatening everyone who comes into its path. She might have had better luck going to Debenhams.

The likes of Gwendoline Christie, Sidse Babett Knudsen, Leo Bill and Hayley Squires crop up in this one, and the film will creep into UK cinemas on 28 June.
