He might not quite be able to decide whether he wants to take on video game adaptationKane & Lynch, but it would seem that F Gary Gray is already looking ahead to other projects. Variety reports that he’s now attached to mystery thrillerHair of the Dog.

It’s one of those ever-expanding-circle tales where a successful executive has to first deal with a nasty blackmail attempt that threatens to rip his family apart. But as he investigates that, he soon learns that he’s just a very small cog in a much more dangerous machine that has a terrible agenda.

There’s no word on what the final plan is, but we’re going to take a punt with government conspiracy. Ooh… Or corporate crime, which is at least topical: when Will Ferrell and Adam McKay use it as part of the plot for a comedy (The Other Guys), you know we’ve reached saturation point.

Kristen Elms wrote the script and Gold Circle films is tracking down the cash to make it happen.
