Eyes Wide Shut Gets Release Date

Finally, after what seems like about 30 years of delays, re-shoots, star substitutions and more delays, Stanley Kubrick's psychosexual thriller Eyes Wide Shut finally has a release date. Warner Bros. announced yesterday that the film will be released in the States on July 16 next year, with an international release to follow shortly after. It stars Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman as married psychiatrists and is described as a tale of jealousy and sexual obsession. The release will put it in direct box-office competition with two huge summer blockbusters, Wild Wild West and the Star Wars prequel.
