Following the Hollywood remakes of The Grudge, The Ring and Dark Water, Hollywood is also planning to remake The Eye 2, now to be known as In Utero.
The sequels's story doesn't particularly follow on from the original film of The Eye, which followed a girl given a revolutionary eye transplant who started to see dead people. This time, a pregnant woman has a near-death experience and goes all Haley Joel Osment on us.
Todd Stein is adapting the script, with New Line distributing in the US.
