And Linda Blair will return

Warner Bros have announced a sequel to ****The Exorcist**,** the 1973 shocker which was finally granted a video release in the UK this year after years of being banned. The sequel is rumoured to star Anthony Hopkins as a priest who is forced to deal with the return of the pea soup spewing demon, played by a 12-year-old Linda Blair in the original movie. A Warners insider told today's Mirror newspaper, "The working title is **The Exorcist 2000 **and it is hoped that it will be completed later in the summer. There is tremendous excitement being generated, but it really is all pretty top secret stuff - especially as negotiations with various big-name stars are at delicate stages."
