Ethan Hawke hasn’t exactly been known for his telly work in the past – he’s appeared in a miniseries or TV movie here and there, and cropped up as an agent on JJ Abrams’ Alias, but now it appears he’s looking to jump in with both feet, signing on new cop drama series Blue Tilt alongside Vincent D’Onofrio.

His proposed co-star, of course, is much more experienced on the goggle box, having spent years as a detective on the Law & Order franchise show Criminal Intent. It’s there that D’Onofrio met writer/producer Chris Brancato, who worked on the show’s final season and who is behind the new concept.

Blue Tilt will follow two cops, one married and one divorced, who must juggle their difficult jobs with the demands of family life.
