Ethan to Direct Uma

Actor **Ethan Hawke **continues to expand his repertoire with the news that he's to direct his first feature film, an indie flick called Last Word on Paradise. The news comes two years after Hawke published his first novel, The Hottest State, though as the director Hawke is to stay firmly behind the lens while wife Uma Thurman, Kris Kristofferson, Natasha Richardson and Steve Zahn strut their stuff. But his acting days are far from over - Hawke stars in the hotly anticipated adaptation of Hamlet which is slated to premiere at next year's Sundance festival.
