Eric Bana as Saoirse Ronan’s father? Joe Wright’s planning to make it happen with his story of a teenage assassin, Hanna.

Wright and his Atonement star (herself fresh off of working on The Lovely Bone****s) had already locked down a deal to make the film, which will see Ronan as a 14-year-old Eastern European girl who is saved from a CIA breeding camp and then trained by her father to be a lethal killing machine.

Seemingly able to escape the killing lifestyle, she finds some measure of peace with a French family, but all too soon is dragged back into pop’s dark world and has to fight for her freedom once again.

The Heat Vision Blog describes it as a film in the vein of La Femme Nikita with a bit of Bourne (what doesn’t have that these days?) rolled in for good measure.
