As we enter into 2020, we’re now two decades deep into the 21st Century – 20 years that saw a superhero blockbuster boom, an influx of vital and diverse filmmakers, and all kinds of technological leaps, from the advent of digital photography to the rise of streaming. It’s been a transformative era, so to mark this milestone in modern moviemaking Empire presents the 100 Greatest Movies Of The Century – a definitive countdown of the very best and most beloved films to have arrived since the year 2000, a list created by combining votes submitted by Empire critics with those from readers.

This month’s issue features a full rundown of the top 100, with brand new write-ups from our critics, and you, the readers. There are also brand new filmmaker interviews, essays, reader reviews, and more across the entire list in a huge 35-page blow-out.

There are six exclusive covers to collect illustrated by the one and only Paul Shipper – each depicting one of the movie masterpieces to feature of the 100 Greatest countdown. First up, Frank from Donnie Darko:
