It is nearly time. Time to find out what happened after Rey met Luke on a remote island in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. There’s only two weeks to wait until The Last Jedi hits cinemas everywhere, and we’ve got a brand new issue stuffed with all things Star Wars to celebrate. All you have to do is decide whether to choose the Light or the Dark Side… Kylo Ren or Rey: the choice is yours. The Last Jedi issue is on sale from Thursday November 30 – here's a taste of what's inside. Want your copy days before anyone else? Subscribe to Empire here.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi

Episode VIII is our main point of focus this month. Daisy Ridley and Adam Driver – our respective cover stars – are on-hand to spill as many beans as they are allowed. We also speak to Mark Hamill, Benicio Del Toro, John Boyega – breathe – Andy Serkis, Gwendoline Christie, Domhnall Gleeson, Laura Dern and Kelly Marie Tran. You won’t find better coverage anywhere else in the galaxy.

Review Of The Year

Grand Duchess Nicole Kidman heads-up our 2017 review after a stellar year that included Big Little Lies, The Beguiled, Top Of The Lake and The Killing Of A Sacred Deer. Amongst other interviews, Jordan Peele and Dafne Keen talk Get Out and Logan, while directors Patty Jenkins and Taika Waititi chat Wonder Woman and Thor: Ragnarok. Our Top 20 films of 2017 are also unveiled...

The Greatest Showman

Hugh Jackman heads to the circus in first-time director Michael Gracey’s tale of P.T. Barnum. The pair talk about their musical collaboration (which includes songs by La La Land Oscar winners Benj Pasek and Justin Paul), from meeting on the set of a 2010 Lipton Ice Tea advert to finally getting the film made.

2018 Oscars

The Oscars are fast-approaching (March 4, to be precise) and we have a big ol’ preview to whet your appetite. Best Picture, Director, Screenplay and all four acting categories are put under the microscope, with Gary Oldman, Margot Robbie, Ridley Scott, Armie Hammer and more speaking in-depth about their contending movies.

Greta Gerwig: The Empire Interview

Greta Gerwig is branching out. Once the mumblecore queen, she’s now stepped behind the camera and made one of best-received films of the year. We talk to Gerwig about all things Ladybird, her breakthroughs in Greenberg and Frances Ha, and whether she’d like to direct a big studio picture.

Pre.View

On-set exclusives, first looks and breaking news – you know the drill. We take a look at Chris Hemsworth in 12 Strong, wander around Aardman Animations to see Early Man take shape, and find out about the new series of Inside No. 9 and The League Of Gentlemen. Dan Stevens also takes on our Pint Of Milk.

On.Screen

This month we find out if The Disaster Artist is a disaster, if Dan Stevens knows what the dickens is going on in The Man Who Invented Christmas, and whether Assassin’s Creed: Origins is a worthy franchise addition. We also cast our critical eye over Netflix’s Godless and Dark.

Re.View

Our home entertainment section kicks off with Matt Reeves talking us through War For The Planet Of The Apes, from Chimpan-A to Chimpan-Z. Jon Watts tells us how he made Spider-Man great again, Terry Gilliam explains what his films have taught him, and William Friedkin talks about the creation of Sorcerer on its 40th anniversary.

All that, and a heck of a lot more, can be found in the brand new issue of Empire, on sale in all good and evil (we won’t judge…) newsagents from November 30. Want to get your copy days before anyone else? Subscribe to Empire right here.
