Emma Watson and Daniel Bruhl in Colonia

Despite boasting Emma Watson in a compelling lead role, Colonia hasn't had much luck securing many releases outside of festival screenings. Still, there is a new trailer for the drama, which you can see at Yahoo.

Colonia finds Watson’s Lena forced to undertake a dangerous mission when her partner, Daniel (Daniel Brühl), is abducted by the Chilean secret police in 1973 following a military coup. Lena tracks him down to Colonia Dignidad, an anti-communist sect run by Michael Nyqvist’s lay preacher Paul Schäfer. There she joins the cult to find Daniel. Of course, it’s not going to be that easy…

German director Florian Gallenberger put the fact-based film together based on his own script, and shot in locations in South America, Germany and Luxembourg. It's about to go on release in Germany, and arrives American scenes in April, but there's still no sign of a UK date on the books at this time.
