Emma Stone – who just might be one of Hollywood’s brightest comedic talents, dontcha know – is set to sign on to the untitled Steve Carell/Ryan Gosling comedy, about a father struggling to deal with a crisis in his marriage.

Stone will play Carell’s daughter, who’s romantically involved with Gosling’s character. John Requa and Glenn Ficarra, the writer-directors of this week’s hilarious **I Love You Phillip Morris **will direct Dan Fogelman’s script, which means that this should be one to keep an eye on.

Stone, of course, was great in Zombieland and will next be seen in Easy A, her first bona fide lead role. Fingers crossed that this Warners Bros. comedy continues her steady rise.
