We reported here that cult comic book character Emily the Strange was set for a big screen outting, much to the joy of all her slightly goth fans. Today, a writer for that feature has been announced, and it is Matthew Weiss.
He will be talking with Emily's creator, Rob Reger, but will write the script independently. "Rob started to tell me about Emily, and when I looked at the books I fell in love with them," says Weiss. "She's a very unique little girl. She definitely marches to the beat of her own drummer."
Weiss is also adapting "Stuffed: Adventures of a Restaurant Family" by Patricia Volk and the "All-of-a-Kind Family" series by Sydney Taylor. We'll keep you up to date as we learn more.
