Crime drama Man On A Ledge just can’t stop adding the actors. With Sam Worthington, Jamie Bell and Anthony Mackie all locked in, the film has found its female lead in Elizabeth Banks.

A quick refresher on the plot for anyone that needs it: Worthington will play a former NYPD cop who is framed for a crime he didn’t commit and shoved in prison. But when he’s given a compassionate day release to attend his father’s funeral, he ends up escaping and makes his way to the titular ledge. The twist? He’s also trying to stop his bank robber younger brother (Bell) from using the event as a distraction to pull off a heist across the road.

So how does Elizabeth Banks fit into all of this? Deadline reports that she’ll be the NYPD negotiator trying to talk Worthington down, and one who happens to share a prior relationship with him. Yeah, bet that’s encouraged in the How To Not Make People Jump manual…

Banks has been flipping between drama and comedy lately, following up work on Paul Haggis prison break thriller The Next Three Days with a role in **My Idiot Brother **alongside Paul Rudd. And in good news for 30 Rock fans, she’ll continue to keep popping up as Jack Donaghy’s hilarious girlfriend Avery Jessup.
