Elektra Update

Daredevil spin-off Elektra has cast its lead villain. Will Yun Lee, who previously took on baddie duties as the gene-altering Colonel Moon in Die Another Day, will play Kirigi, leader of ninja assassin group The Hand and all-round cad. Yun Lee recently appeared as a biker dude with Martin Henderson in the 2 Wheels, 2 Furious Torque, but it's fair to say that this will be the biggest role of his career to date. In the film, his group takes in Elektra, their former student, after the events in Daredevil, and assigns her to kill a man called Mark Miller (Goran Visnjic) and his daughter. Predictably, Elektra falls for the hunky Croat's charms and tells Kirigi to go talk to the Hand. When she finds out that Miller's grandfather was an ally of her mentor Stick (Terence Stamp) she changes sides and takes on the Hand's forces - at which point we wouldn't bet on Kirigi's chances. Elektra is due here at the end of next June.
