Britain's famous **Ealing Studios **are to be turned into a state-of-the-art digital filmmaking facility, saving the historical studio from demolition. Once home to classic films such as Passport to Pimlico and The Ladykillers, the Studios were in danger of being closed down completely, despite being used for recent British features like Notting Hill. Full details are expected in the new year, but at present it looks as though ownership will go to UK company Fragile Films, makers of An Ideal Husband.
