Vanessa Kirby's post-Crown career has been full of action so far, including playing The White Widow in Mission: Impossible – Fallout (one of our Films Of The Year). She's following that up with the testosterone-laden Fast & Furious spin-off Hobbs And Shaw and thanks to Dwayne Johnson's ever-busy Instagram account, we have our first look at her character.
Kirby's playing Hattie Shaw, an MI6 operative who apparently spends some of her off-hours drinking with Johnson's Hobbs. Oh, and the other key piece of information is the fact that she's Deckard Shaw's (Jason Statham) sister. The idea of her hanging out with Luke Hobbs sends Deckard's blood boiling, even if the pair is teaming up to battle a dangerous threat in Idris Elba's Brixton.
So, yes, expect plenty of heads to be butted (in metaphorical and very physical ways) when the film roars in on 26 July next year. Perhaps if there's a sequel, Deckard Shaw will reciprocate by befriending Hobbs' dog?
