As the director of Moon, one of our favourite sci-fi films this year, any news about Duncan Jones projects is greeted with whooping and cheering throughout the Empire office. Today we were greeted with a piece concept art released on his production company's website Liberty Films, showing us a hint of what his next sci-fi film **Mute **will hold, with definite hints of **Blade Runner **(Jones' favourite sci-fi film) in his version of a futuristic Berlin.

Reunited with his usual writing partner Mike Johnson (who was busy during **Moon **and replaced by Nathan Parker), Jones' plot revolves around a mute bartender who is abducted whilst looking for his girlfriend, with the bad guys being two comedians. Honest.

The date for release is a long way off being confirmed but we can tell you that shooting will begin in Berlin early next year.

P.S. The only clear word in the artwork,"Fremde", means "Foreign" in German, implying this is some foreigners only bar - then again this is a complete guess so free free to ignore us entirely on this one.
