Josh Duhamel has attached himself, like a limpet, to What’s He Got?, a Disney rom-com to be directed by Walt Becker.
Becker, of course, is the man responsible for **Wild Hogs **and Van Wilder, so ordinarily we wouldn’t be holding out much hope that **What’s He Got? **will become a comedy classic. But Disney sounds much more optimistic, shelling out around a million dollars for the pitch from screenwriter, Kevin Bisch.
You’d think that, for that kind of money, we’d at least get a synopsis, but instead the plot remains shrouded in mystery. All we know is that the movie will be a high-concept rom-com.
Duhamel’s involvement is interesting. He’s never really become the star we thought he would be after he walked off with Win A Date With Tad Hamilton!, instead getting locked into low-impact turns in the Transformers movies, and the Las Vegas TV show. Perhaps, with this and Mark Steven Johnson’s upcoming When In Rome, he’s giving the charming leading man thing a go again.
Becker will also produce the comedy, but there’s no start date as of yet.
