Just when you think you know someone... David Duchovny is keen to get back into fishnets again, according to an interview in this month's Empire magazine. Answering readers' questions in the July issue, Duchovny admits to fond memories of his role as a transvestite FBI agent in Twin Peaks. 'I loved creating that character,' David tells Empire. 'I was only on it for a few days, shaving my legs, surrounded by the strangeness - I wish I could do something like that again.' Duchovny takes the opportunity to knock a few rumours on the head, including one that he tried out for Batman. 'It's not true,' he insists. 'Unless you mean when I was seven years old!' The actor is equally vague on the chances of seeing him reprise his X-Files persona on the big screen. 'There are no plans [to do an X-Files movie sequel] as far as I know. I don't have a script. I haven't been asked to do it. But I imagine there will be one at some point. I don't know when.' To read the full interview, look out for Empire on the newsstands from 1 June 2001.
