Minnie Driver is trying to muscle in on Jennifer Garner’s gig.
She’s not trying to get a part on Alias; she’s starring in Keep Up With The Jones’s, a new TV drama pilot in the US.
Driver’s playing a covert operative who’s married to a fellow spy. The pair goes on missions together while struggling to keep their marriage together. Described as Alias-meets-Moonlighting, it’s also distinctly similar to Mr & Mrs Smith.
"The aim is for this to be something of a comedy thrill ride, but having the comedy grounded in realism as this couple tries to save the world as well as their marriage and finds that the latter might be the more difficult trick," says show co-creator/director Gavin O’Connor.
