After last week’s photo-call finish between box office chart veteran How To Train Your Dragon and newcomer Kick-Ass, which was eventually won by the comic book pic, DreamWorks’ toon roared back to take the top slot again as two new films faltered.

Dragon was sitting pretty at the number 1 spot with $15 million (not bad at all for a film that was criticised as “underperforming” initially and after five weeks in the charts), while Jennifer Lopez’ latest attempt at a rom-com, The Back-Up Plan had to make do with second place and $12.2 million.

There were even worse tidings for graphic novel adaptation The Losers, which could only manage a fourth-place launch and $9.6 million. That put it behind Date Night, which is holding strong after three weeks and dug its nails into third with $10.6 million.

Meanwhile, **Kick-Ass **took a nasty tumble from its victorious throne from last week, slipping down to fifth place with $9.5 million.

The rest of the charts? Clash Of The Titans managed sixth place, while Death At A Funeral dropped to seventh. New arrival Oceans (the Disney documentary) took eighth place and $6 million, putting it ahead of The Last Song in ninth and Alice In Wonderland, which prepared to drop out of the top 10 with a quick stop at the bottom.
