Doctor Who

It's been a couple of years since Steven Moffat wrote his final Doctor Who script as a showrunner before handing the reins over to Chris Chibnall. And it's fair to say that the middle and end of his run was greeted with mixed feelings. But now, following his predecessor Russell T. Davies, he's written a short story set in the Who-niverse, focused on a Doctor he never got to tackle – Jodie Whittaker's Thirteenth.

Titled The Terror Of The Umpty Ums, it sees the Doctor going up against a typically weird alien menace and helping out a human boy.

It's all part of a 15th anniversary celebration for the revived version of Who, which kicked off way back in 2005 with Christopher Eccleston's Ninth Doctor.

You can read the story right here, and don't forget that series 1-12 of new Who and all the specials are available on the Beeb's iPlayer.
