Elisabeth’s Shue’s previously announced passion project Gracie, which is based on real events in her family history, has nabbed a father figure.

Dermot Mulroney – last seen dealing with The Family Stone – has signed on to play the dad of the titular little girl, who’s angling to join a boys’ footie team, played by Carly Schroeder. Elisabeth Shue’s already on board as her mother, with brother Andrew Shue as her coach.

Davis Guggenheim started calling the shots yesterday in New York, and the film should arrive mid-2007.
