Do you find yourself desperate to know what Johnny Depp's up to at any given time? Are you plagued by doubt about whether he'll make Shantaram or Sasha: The Life And Death Of A Russian Spy next? And do you spend wakeful nights wondering when you're ever going to see The Rum Diary? Well, fear not, because with new Monday News we've got all the answers to set your mind at rest!

Yes, as reported on Friday the Deppster has finished work on Sweeney Todd (see the poster for that here) and is finalising his upcoming schedule. So it's Shantaram next, the story of an Australian drug dealer in India, for director Mira Nair.

Following that, The Rum Diary will be next on his list, based on the Hunter S. Thompson novel (remember kids, Depp already starred in Fear and Loathing In Las Vegas and became friends with the gonzo journalist, although **Rum **was written before his gonzo style really developed), with Withnail & I's Bruce Robinson adapting and directing. The story is about a reporter writing for a rundown newspaper in 1950s Puerto Rico, and was written when Thompson was 22 but not published until 1998.

Dark Shadows, announced last week, and the murdered-Russian spy story **Sasha **will be slotted in sometime after that. So that's his timetable, and we hope it sets your mind at rest. At the very least, it's good to hear that The Rum Diary will finally be going into production soon.
