We all know that Ryan Reynolds is possibly the biggest cheerleader – and often the social media presence – for the Deadpool films. So rather than letting blurry paparazzi snaps spoil the reveal of Zazie Beetz' dangerous Domino from Deadpool 2, Reynolds has hit Twitter to offer up a first look.
Word of the Atlanta co-star's casting came in March, and with filming now underway on the superhero sequel, what better way to show off her look than a spoof of one of the earliest Deadpool promotional images?
How much of the character's backstory will be retained from the comics is only known to the people making the movie for now, but Domino was part of a government breeding programme to create the perfect weapon. Despite her showing an ability to manipulate probability in her favour, she was considered a failure and ended up as mercenary with exceptional marksmanship ability and hand-to-hand combat skills. She's also a frequent member of the X-Force team, where she joins forces with Deadpool and Cable (Josh Brolin).
With Morena Baccarin, Brianna Hildebrand, Leslie Uggams, Karan Soni and Stefan Kapicic back from the first film, the other new arrivals include Jack Kesy and Shioli Kutsuna. Deadpool 2 (dis)graces our screens on 1 June next year.
