Through all the various announcements about the new, R-rated comedy cinematic version of Baywatch, one question has been on everyone's lips. Well, some lips. Okay... Probably just one set. "Will David Hasselhoff be involved?" Now we have our answer thanks to Dwayne Johnson, seen in this Facebook video hassling the Hoff about coming aboard.

Yes, apparently DH was "born" ready for what Johnson is now describing as a combination of Avengers and Anchorman, which could either make you very happy or set the ol' alarm bells ringing.

Now shooting under the watchful eye of director Seth Gordon, the film finds Johnson as the chief lifeguard (he's listed as playing The Hoff's original role of Mitch Buchannon), who must team up with hotshot young new guard Matt Brody (Zac EFron) to stop a greedy oil tycoon's beach-threatening plans. Also in the cast? Alexandra Daddario as Summer Quinn, Priyanka Chopra as Victoria Leads, Kelly Rohrbach as C.J. Parker, Ilfenesh Hadera as Stephanie Holden, Hannibal Buress and Jon Bass.

The new movie version of the classic beach-fest will be out on May 12 next year.
