David Goyer (Blade Trinity) has set his next job as director. He'll be making an as yet untitled supernatural thriller for Platinum Dunes, the production company that specialises in reworkings of old horror staples like The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, The Hitcher and the upcoming The Birds revamp.
Goyer wrote the script for the movie, which will follow an 18-year-old who realises she is being possessed by a demon and decides that she's not just going to sit there and take it. Erm...this won't be a remake of The Exorcist, right? With a sexy older girl taking the place of young Linda Blair? No, that can't be right as that would probably be announced straight off the bat and we chose to jam our fingers in our ears when Blair recently said that a remake was planned at Warner Brothers.
