His career has been on the rise for a while now, thanks in large part to the Guardians Of The Galaxy films, where Dave Bautista got to shine as Drax. He's since diversified into other roles that blend action and comedy and has apparently reached the stage where he shares the screen with a precocious child, a point in the career previously experienced by Arnold Schwarzenegger, Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson and more. How else to explain the existence of My Spy, which has its first trailer and poster online.

The film finds Bautista as JJ, an intelligence operative working for the CIA who is having a little trouble with his career. While he's handy with his fists, a crack shot and excellent at taking out bad guys, he rarely leaves villains alive to, er, gather intelligence from, and he's bad with people.

His superior (Ken Jeong) gives him a last chance, a relatively easy gig alongside a fellow agent (Kristen Schaal) surveilling a family. But when the 9-year-old daughter of the targets, Sophie (Chloe Coleman) discovers what's happening, she hatches a deal: JJ will teach her to be a spy and help her stop bullies. Soon, life lessons are being learned on both sides, because of course.
