Danny McBride Signs Up For New Comedy

Danny McBride and comedian Aziz Ansari are two of the most reliably funny folk working in the US at the moment. So we’re happy to see they’re plotting to work together.

The pair has convinced Mandate Pictures to pick up a currently untitled comedy which will see them starring, based on an idea by Ansari and 30 Rock writer Matt Hubbard.

While nothing is known about the plot yet, the script will be penned by Harris Wittels, who works with Ansari on TV’s Parks And Recreation with former SNL performer Amy Poheler.

It’s not the first time that McBride and Ansari have shared the screen – they worked together in** Observe And Report** with Seth Rogen, and are about to start shooting 30 Minutes Or Less with Zombieland’s Ruben Fleischer behind the camera.
