With the new Lara Croft in place thanks to the casting of Alicia Vikander, the Tomb Raider reboot is getting ready to shoot. And a new recruit has been added to the film's roster, with Daniel Wu joining the team.

Wu, who stars on US TV drama Into The Badlands and played warlike Orc mage Gul'dan in last year's Warcraft has boarded the movie as Lu Ren, a ship's captain who joins Croft's quest to find her father and clear his name.

The new movie, which has been in development for some time, sets the clock back to Lara's younger days, as the 21-year-old Croft sets off on her first big adventure. Norwegian director Roar Uthaug is calling the shots and Walton Gogginswho posted a picture of the script, by Geneva Robertson-Dworet to Instagram, will be the villain.

This latest outing is expected in cinemas on 16 March next year.
