Dan Stevens and Rebecca Hall

Empire Spirit Animal Dan Stevens and Empire favourite Rebecca Hall acting together in the same movie? We must have wandered into an old Ferrero Rocher advert, because they're spoiling us. It's true, though: Stevens and Hall are now at work on romantic comedy Permission.

Writer/director Brian Crano is cranking the cameras now in New York for the film, which finds the leading pair as a couple who decide that the best repair method for their fracturing relationship is to find other partners to sleep with. We're not 100% convinced, given the usual outcome of such plans in movies, but if anyone can make it work, it's these two.

The cast also includes the likes of Jason Sudeikis, Gina Gershon, Francois Arnaud, Morgan Spector, Bridget Everett, David Joseph Craig and Sarah Steele, and the indie film has no release date yet.

Stevens has worked on thriller Oppenheimer Strategies, monster movie Colossal and slightly anticipated Disney live-action reboot Beauty And The Beast, which isn't scheduled to warble on to our screens until next year. Hall has based-on-truth drama Christine playing at Sundance and will be seen as Mary in Steven Spielberg's The BFG, due here on July 22.
