Earlier this month, we reported that Andrew Garfield had signed on to star in It Follows director David Robert Mitchell's new crime thriller, Under The Silver Lake. Now we know that Fifty Shades Of Grey's Dakota Johnson is on board alongside him.
Mitchell who wrote the script and will direct, is keeping most of the details of the film under his hat for now, though we do know it's being described as a modern-day noir crime thriller set in the City of Angels. That "Silver Lake" part of the title should have been a giveaway.
And Johnson's presence is perhaps not so surprising given that Grey shares a producer with the new film in Michael De Luca, and the film will start production this summer in LA.
Johnson is busy reprising her role as Anastasia Steele in the Fifty Shades sequels Darker (due February 10 2017) and Freed (which arrives on February 9 2018).
