Now that his sitcom Everybody Loves Raymond is behind him, Ice Age voice Ray Romano can concentrate on his movie career. And perhaps find something better than Welcome To Mooseport.

His next stab at movie stardom will be taking a leaf out of Tim Allen’s book. He’s signed up to star in an untitled comedy at Paramount.

The plot is a tightly controlled secret (why is it there are more leaks from Tony Blair’s office than Paramount Pictures?), but we do know that Arrested Development staff writer Dean Lorey is at work on the script. The finished product will apparently be Franken-script taken from his original pitch and incorporating elements from a remake already in development at the studio. Father Knows Best sees a child forge credentials to have his dad win Father Of The Year. Daddy dearest goes to the ceremony intending to tell the truth, but ends up falling in love with the sexy female organiser. See kids – it’s okay to tell lies if you fancy someone...
