It's been a few weeks since we've heard anything from the pre-production process of Robert Zemeckis' version of Pinocchio for Disney, but now there is fresh casting info. Cynthia Erivo and Joseph Gordon-Levitt are joining the film as the Blue Fairy and Jiminy Cricket respectively.
They're just the tip of the new additions, as Benjamin Evan Ainsworth is on to voice to titular puppet lad, with Keegan-Michael Key as Honest John and Lorraine Bracco playing a new character for this take on the story, Sofia the Seagull.
The new arrivals join Luke Evans and Tom Hanks in the movie, which Zemeckis will bring to life with a combination of live-action and CG VFX. And the film is set to launch first on Disney+, most likely next year.
